Throwback to M’s Gorgeous Maternity Session

So, funny story—I just realized I left maternity photos off my website during its revamp. How? No idea, because no one loves a baby belly more than me! (Don’t worry, no unsolicited belly rubs here, just a lot of grinning from ear to ear.)

While digging through an old hard drive, I found M’s maternity session from nearly four years ago. Wait…is Baby N really turning four this October? Time flies! Looking through these photos, I was instantly reminded of how glowing M was—and that pregnancy hair? Unreal. She makes my job so easy every time, no posing required.

We shot this session at a secret little spot behind my home in Oeiras. I’m a sucker for romantic, crumbling estates that feel straight out of a fairy tale. When I saw M’s dress, I just knew this was the perfect location.

It’s not often I get maternity session inquiries here in Portugal, which surprises me because I saw a poll recently where most women said they regretted not having one. For me, as someone who’s always dreamed of being a mom, maternity photos were a must. They’re not just for us—they’re for that little baby, too.

Case in point: I have one blurry Polaroid of my mom pregnant with me. I would have loved more. So if you’re expecting, let’s make it happen—you deserve these memories!
